Swiss residents overall have a mean net worth of almost $700K, making them some of the richest in the world, ahead of both the US and Hong Kong. In Switzerland, there is no capital gains tax on financial assets, although the country does have a relatively low wealth tax.

When looking at countries with the highest average wealth per person, the United States comes in at number three (with $564,862 per person).
