Most of our UV exposure comes from UVA rays, which age our skin and contribute to skin cancer, and from UVB rays, which don't penetrate the skin as deeply but also cause cancer.
Mineral sunscreens, with ingredients like zinc oxide, physically block rays, while chemical ones absorb UV rays and turn it into heat.
