A 37.41 carat, bicolor diamond likely formed from two distinct geological processes

Discovered in a Botswana mine, half the stone is clear, having formed from carbon being squeezed under extreme heat and pressure into a tight crystal structure. The pink half formed earlier and resulted from minor bending of the crystal during tectonic activity without causing it to brown or break.
